If you’ve ever postponed a project to the facial-tic inducing last minute, or even if you haven’t, you will enjoy this humorous TED Talk video with a serious message.

Tim Urban says that we are all procrastinators about something, but as a serial procrastinator himself, he understands that some of us are more inclined to delay, delay, delay than others. In this Ted Talk, he admits that procrastination doesn’t make sense, but shares his thinking process as to why he’s never been able to shake his habit of waiting until the last minute to get things done. In his hilarious and insightful talk, he takes us on a journey through YouTube binges, Wikipedia rabbit holes and bouts of staring out the window. It’s very enjoyable, but there is a more serious underlying message — he encourages us to think harder about what we’re really procrastinating on, before we run out of time.
